Frommers’ Places to See before they disappear

50placesfrommersI was on Yahoo.com this morning and their feature article was “Places to See Before They Disappear; Consider visiting these rare cultural, historic and natural sites before they are irrevocably altered or gone forever.” I find it so sad that so many of these amazing sites worldwide are in danger. It goes on to name the Taj Mahal in India; Lord Howe Island in Australia; Pyramids of Giza in Egypt; Gu Gong (Forbidden City) in China and lastly Little Green Street in London.  The small excerpt posted on Yahoo did not even scratch the surface because this was taken from Frommers  500 Places to See Before They Disappear. Each entry in the book explains why it’s been included, gives its history, the nature of the threat against it, brief information on how to visit and what visitors can do to protect it. Price of the book averages around $15.99 at most book stores.  Amazon currently has it on sale for $13.99.

Dream about the most beautiful, striking and unspoilt places to be visited that are mentioned in this book, and then let us help you plan your vacation.
